Francine Fleischer was born and raised in New York City.

She received a BFA in painting and photography at SUNY in Purchase, New York. After working with Annie Liebovitz, Kelly Klein and Michel Compt as first camera assistant, she began a 20-year career as a commercial and editorial photographer in New york.  Her seascapes of crashing surf and soaring birds, and underwater minnow series, capture the frenzy and forcefulness of nature.
